Lacewing is blossoming into one of our best does!  In very limited showing for 2003, she surprised us by doing extremely well.  Our area's LaManchas & Recorded Grades are highly competitive & we show against several herds who regularly enjoy great success at the ADGA Nationals.  So we were quite proud that Lacewing was 3rd Senior Yearling at her first show, 1st Senior Yearling & Junior Grand Champion Recorded Grade, earning her dry leg at her second show; & 1st Senior Yearling & Reserve Junior Grand Champion at the 2003 Michigan State Fair!  & to think - we'd been leaving her behind all that time! 

Spring, 2004 Lacewing presented us with a “WOW!” mammary & continued her success in the show-ring, winning her class all but twice, w/ 2xGCH (as our luck would have it,1 short of being official both times!) & 4xRGCH

2005, Lacewing continued her success in the ring winning her class practically every time & being named 2x GCH (still unofficial!  L ) & 1x RGCH. 

She also appraised extremely well as a 2nd freshener, within or above the ideal ranges in nearly every category & with Excellents in the areas of Head, Rear Legs, Dairy Character & Mammary; Very Goods in the areas of Feet, Back, Udder Texture, General Appearance & Body Capacity & Good Plus (+) in all other categories.  Particularly notable linear scores were: 34 Dairyness; 28 Rump Width; 37 Fore Udder Attachment; 43 Rear Udder Height; 28 Rear Udder Arch; 30 MSL; 34 Udder Depth; 12 Teat Plmt; 19Teat Diameter & 25 Rear Udder Side View.  Wow!
