Eclair resembles her dam, Bliss being a striking, upstanding & elegant doe who excels in General Appearance, Dairy Character & with a lovely mammary.

Eclair's sire, Fire had an impressive array of daughters representing him at the 2001 ADGA National Show, where he sired the following: Junior National Champion LaMancha,  Reserve Junior National Champion LaMancha, 1st place Junior Get of Sire, 5th Place LaMancha Yearling Milker, one daughter in the 1st Place Best 3 Females & 5th Place Recorded Grade Yearling.

Éclair’s ¾ sister GCH Lit’l Dutch Tootsie 2*M LA 90 EVEE (below) bred & owned by Heather Tucker, was the 2004 ADGA National Show 6th place 4 year old.

The 2004 show season was a successful one for Éclair with her usually topping her age class & flip-flopping with her dam for GCH & RGCH & . . . she even managed to earn a leg toward her Permanent Championship!  At the District IV LaMancha Specialty, Eclair & dam, Bliss were 1st Dam & Daughter, along with both being members of our 1st Place Best 3 Females & 2nd Place Dairy Herd.

Eclair's 2004 Jrufio daughter, Pazcki (you guessed it - born on Fat Tuesday!) is proving the consistent quality of these genetics by being named Junior Reserve Grand Champion at the 2004 District IV LaMancha Specialty – which was her very first show!

2005, Eclair kidded w/ triplets, repeating the breeding that produced Paczki.  Her son, Eros went to go see what he could do in Becky Neppach’s remarkable Tricks’N’Treats herd & daughters, Ea & Enya stayed here.  Éclair continued her show career in a similar fashion to 2004, usually winning her age class . . . & then usually battling w/ her dam, Bliss & another herdmate, Carmella for GCH & RGCH, but . . . managing to sneak by them twice to earn her permanent championship!

Our Linear Appraisal session was late in the afternoon on a record-breaking day, heat & humidity-wise for our area, which sure took its toll on the animals – especially the milkers, who found it quite a challenge to muster up the energy to make much milk.  Éclair’s like a walking solar panel with her jet black coloring, so was the most strongly effected &, as her score would indicate, was not looking her best that day, unfortunately.  L

We had several Intermediates to try to show for the 2005 season, but did manage to squeak 2005 daughter, Enya (read: mini-Paczki) into two . . . where she was 1x1st & 1x2nd in large classes of extremely competitive kids.

2006 Updates: Éclair kidded with triplets & looks as beautiful as ever as a 5 year old.  2004 Jrufio daughter, Paczki has matured into a striking 2nd freshening 2 year old, despite her endeavors of being one of the largest does in the herd.  2005 Jrufio daughters, Ea & Enya take after mama, being more petite than full sister, Paczki & some of their other paternal sisters. . . & are also developing into stunning young ladies, freshening with the fancy mammaries this line produces.  Éclair’s maternal sisters, Blush & Blessing (2004 & 2005 Jrufio daughters – ¾ siblings to Paczki, Ea & Enya) are also maturing beautifully & both sporting mammaries equally as nice as – if not nicer than - Bliss’.  Éclair’s ¾ brother, Bolero (Blessing’s twin) sired some terrific kids for us & we’re anxious to use him more heavily this Fall!  All 2006 daughters from the aforementioned are being retained as the “Bliss line” is one of our favorites for their stylishness & the consistency of overall quality they exhibit & pass to their offspring.
