Coquette was brought in for her “no brainer” pedigree, which blends quite nicely with what we’re working with in our breeding program.  Typical of the Talon line, Coquette is jet black w/ a small white splash on her side.  She is a correct, wiiiiide & powerful - yet also dairy - doe who reminds us very much of her paternal aunt, Carmella in style with her overall width, correct head; level topline; terrific rump; all around excellent leg set; tracking correctly & exhibiting quite notable “natural width between the hocks”.  Coquette also has one of the highest, widest escutcheons out there, showing correct teat placement . . . which should be quite impressive once it’s filled with a mammary!  (Milky, too!)

Coquette’s sire’s lineage incorporates the lines of some nationally renowned herds with some “regionally renowned” herds whose animals we admire (albeit oftentimes being from the “rear angle”, while standing behind them at area shows, LOL.).

Coquette’s dam, Coquina is a very well-bred, hard-working doe whose sire, FDF-PLEASANT-FIELDS MALACHITE *B has several terrific daughters out there, including:

2002 ADGA National 1st Sr Yrlg & National Jr. Champion, Singing-Hills Malachitebrisies;

2004 ADGA National Reserve Best Udder, CH Singing-Hills PFM Britta

2004 ADGA National 5th/3rd Udder 3 y.o. old, GCH Singing-Hills Malachite Faygo 1*M  (dam to our *B Willow Run Chalupa Surge & can be seen on his page)

Malachite is also ¾ brother to GCH FDF Pleasant Fields Match 2*M 89 VEVV & her littermate sister, GCH FDF Pleasant Fields Mix 2*M LA 3-04 89 VEEV

2006 Update: Coquette has matured nicely & is a smoothly blended doe with a great front end & one of the best bodies of the 2004 does, exhibiting impressive depth for a first freshener.  She is wide & powerful throughout; quite dairy with her flat, open ribbing & fine, pliable skin - &, as we suspected she’d be: an impressive milker!  She’s an easy keeper with a delightful temperament, never even missing a beat after kidding with lovely - & large, LOL! - twin doe kids x Surge & "graduating" to the milker barn.

Dam, Coquina
