Couscous is developing into a wonderful example of the “total package” type doe we’re striving to create, carrying on the trend we’ve come to appreciate so much in this dam-line.  She just “oozes” dairy character with her fine, pliable skin; flat, open ribbing & a very impressive will to milk!  Even having just kidded with a single, the milking herd going to 1x/day AND having to produce on pretty minimalist “foodstuff”, this gal still manages to come into the parlor with a full udder WHILE maintaining conditioning nicely w/ no muss or fuss – gotta love it!

Out of our consistently fancy-mammaried “Cerridwen Family”, Couscous didn’t disappoint us when she freshened with a WOW mammary.  We didn’t think udders came much prettier than favorite, Ceinwen’s. . . until her daughter freshened w/ possibly the nicest we’ve created yet!

With a power-packed pedigree full of Show, Mammary & Milk genetics galore - & the overall quality exhibited within her own herd, with her dam & maternal granddam having 2 of the nicest mammaries in the herd, her dam’s sisters – paternal AND maternal - also freshening w/ extremely nice, productive mammaries . . . we expect good things for Couscous’ future.  This is a slower maturing line & being one of the youngest of the 2005 clan, Couscous will require a little patience.  With all of the potential she’s showing however, we feel this doe is going to turn out to be SOMEthin'.  J
