SIRE: BECCA’S TWEED MATRIX LA 1-03 87 VEV https://mystiquemeadow.tripod.com/herdsires/id3.html

DAM: ROCKSPRING DUSTIN LACEWING 3-03 88 VEVE (E Head & Rear Legs) https://mystiquemeadow.tripod.com/rg/id6.html

Picot is a pretty, correct & even-tempered doe who is an excellent milker & is quite a big girl for her age, towering over her same-aged herdmates & . . . not too far behind paternal sister, Dulce (a/k/a: “Dulcilla”, LOL) who’s one of the biggest does in the herd!  She is long & level with a strong topline, nice sharp withers, a very good rump, proper leg set front & rear & she stands on strong feet & legs.  Her mammary is a correct one being nice & globular, well-attached all the way around with a good, strong medial, pretty teats, excellent texture &. . . quite capacious!

Picot has spent her youth going through the gangly & awkward phases typical of the fast-growing types but as you can hopefully see by her (fuzzy & less-than-stellar, LOL) pictures, she's matured considerably as a 2nd freshener.  Considering her dam, Lacewing has always been one of our best show does & appraised very well as a 2nd freshener, scoring 88 w/ an E mammary, we’ve been (not-so-patiently) waiting for Picot to catch up w/ herself & metamorphose into the lovely specimen we were hoping she would!

2006, Picot kidded with outstanding buck/doe twins sired by Draw, freshening w/ a correct but immature mammary . . . to go along w/ the rest of her correct-but-immature self, LOL.  She milked very well, peaking at around 1 ½ gallons & fought me tooth & nail (hoof?) abt drying off so she could at least have a little break beforefor her next kidding!

2007 Update: Picot's still striving to be the biggest doe in the herd & doing a fine job attaining that goal, now running neck & neck (wither & wither?) w/ Dulce, LOL.  She has matured immensely just over the past few, short months & is really developing into the lovely doe we were hoping she would!
